The largest mass shooting in American history was a hate crime against gay people. Don’t ever forget that.

June 12, 2016. Putting a date on this for when it gets reblogged months from now by people who think the post is about something from 30, 40 years ago.
June 12th is the one year anniversary of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub Shooting. During Pride Month please remember the 49 LGBT+ (many Latinx) people who lost their lives due to a hate crime that nobody seems to acknowledge anymore, despite that it was the biggest mass shooting event in the U.S. . Please watch the link below to hear their names and remember those lost. Have a happy Pride Month and celebrate, but don’t forget what happened to the queer people of Orlando only a year ago.

Don’t forget this, please.

I think in light of Stephen Hawking passing, I would like to remind everyone that ALS is a horrible tragic disease. Watching my best friend suffer from it has no joke been the single worst miserable thing. Ever. ALS had it’s 15 minutes of fame after the ice bucket challenge but I would really really encourage people to still raise awareness towards ALS and donate if it’s within their means. Stephen Hawking surviving so long and being able to continue to even just interact with others is in thanks to equipment and resources many ALS patients just don’t have. If you really loved Stephen Hawking please consider donating to the ALS Association or participating in an ALS walk/fundraising event!
here are some donation pages to start: the ALS association, ALS worldwide, ALS research forum
Hearing “I’m so proud of you” when you feel like you aren’t doing enough really does lift a lot of weight off of you.
if someone makes you happy, make them happier
This mindset will make you the kindest you can be
